When to call right now
If the line will not move, the day will not wait.
Most drain problems can wait until business hours. Some cannot. Here's the kind of situation where the call belongs on our line, not in a quote-shopping spree.
- Sewer line backing up into the basement floor drain
- Standing water in a bathtub or shower that will not drain at all

Before we arrive
Three things to do while you wait for the truck.
Stop using fixtures upstream.
If a basement drain is backing up, don't run the washing machine, dishwasher, or upstairs showers. That just adds water to the backup.
Move things off the floor.
If there's standing water in the basement, get rugs, boxes, electronics, anything fabric off the floor and onto shelves or a higher level.
Tell us what you've poured down.
If hardware-store drain cleaner is sitting in the line, our tech needs to know before they open it. We won't judge. We just need the heads-up.
